Correlation Hematological Malignancies in the Hadhramout Sector Pattern and Distribution

Objective: To study the pattern and distribution of hematological cancers in Hadhramout sector-Yemen compare with findings elsewhere country worldwide. Methods: Descriptive patients Hematological malignancies between January 2011 December 2015 recorded National Oncology center- Hadhramout. Cases were sub-grouped according to their lineage into lymphoid types which include Non-Hodgkin’s Hodgkin’s lymphomas, acute chronic lymphocytic leukemia multiple myelomas, Myeloid myeloblastic myeloproliferative neoplasms. Patients classified four age groups: <18, 18-40, 41-60 >60 years. Results: 661 cases registered (22.6% all registered). 58.7 % males 41.3% females, (male female ratio 1.4:1). Slight predominance was found occur at a young age, an overall median diagnosis 39 lymphoma most common subtype (37.8%), followed by lymphoma. The majority observed among 18-40 groups (28%). In children adolescents <18 years old, lymphoblastic more predominant (24%, 11.4%). Multiple myeloma commonly occurred 41-61 (57.6%). Chronic mostly old over 60 (66.7%). Most from governorate (n= 507, 76.7%) Mukalla affected city. Conclusion: is adults while decreased elder population.
